Dental Plan Models

Dental plans are a means to help pay for dental treatment. Employers provide health and dental benefits for different reasons, including (and most importantly, hopefully) the promotion of good health.

The ppo dental plan model allows participants to use physicians and hospitals in any network, without the use of a primary care provider for referrals to dentists and hospitals. Similar models are the cigna dental plan model and the blue cross dental plan model

Other models include:

Aetna
GE Wellness
Patriot

Dental plans are amazingly cheap and very convenient. Plans do, however, differ in cost. More comprehensive plans cost a bit more, but usually not over $300. Almost all have a membership fee, which can vary from one plan to another.

Dental plans are very flexible in that a subscriber can tailor the level of coverage to suit their needs (i.e. number of family members, family's ages, etc.).

Dental plans are designed to help with dental expenses, but may not always cover every dental need. A typical program may include limitations or exclusions, meaning the program will not cover every facet of dental care. Group dental plans usually work as reimbursement plans.

Dental plans are designed for consumers looking to maintain their oral health while minimizing dental care expenses. Discount plans allow businesses to award employees with peace of mind and affordable oral care.
